6. Medical Conditions Of Significance To Midwifery Practice

Section 3: Labour

1. Care Of The Perineum ,Repair And Female Genital Mutilation
2. Physiology and Care During The First Stage Of Labour
3. Physiology & Care During Transition & Second Stage Phases Of Labour
4. Physiology And Care During The Third Stage Of Labour
5. Prolonged Pregnancy And Disorders Of Uterine Action
6. Malposition Of The Occiput And Malpresentations
7. Operative Births
8. Midwifery And Obstetric Emergencies

Section 4: Puerperium

Section 5: The Neonate

1. Recognizing the Healthy Baby at term Through Examination of The Newborn Screening
2. Resuscitation of the Healthy baby at Birth :The Importance of Drying, Airway Management and Establishment of Breathing
3. The Healthy Low Birth Weight baby
4. Trauma during Birth ,Haemorrhages and Convulsions
5. Congenital Malformations
6. Significant Problems in the Newborn baby
7. Infant Feeding

RN or Doctor with minimum 1 year experience in Obstetrics desiring to become certified Obstetrics or Midwife Nurse  can enrol for the 6 months course starting every September and February. 

Training Fee $1000 includes lifetime membership with ErOr and assess to recent protocols and resource materials.
